IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has made it mandatory for all its employees to work from office at least three days a week. For which a new model is being prepared.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has made it mandatory for all its employees to work from home and work in the office at least three days a week, TCS has instructed the employees that its senior employees are already working from office. And customers are also visiting TCS offices. For this, the managers will prepare a roster and it will be mandatory for the employees to work from the office at least three days a week. Along with this, it has been said that it is mandatory to follow rostering and at the same time it will also be tracked. Any non-compliance will be taken seriously and administrative measures may be implemented.
Regarding the new mandate, a TCS spokesperson says that they are working in a phased manner to bring employees back to the office and it is in line with the company’s “vision to transition to 25X25 model”. As per the model, no more than 25 per cent of TCS employees will be required to work from office at a certain point, with the rules expected to be implemented by 2025.
As of now the employees have not been given a deadline to return to the office, but they are advised to contact their managers to know about the arrangements made for their projects as per the new work plan.
Start the process of making changes to the model
TCS spokesperson further informed that the rostering will be based on the requirements of the project. TCS says they have begun the process of transitioning from TCS’ Secure Borderless Workspace (SBWS) to a more hybrid model, which will allow most of its employees to work from the office for certain days of the week.
