The company is planning to introduce its electric version. 50 years ago kinetic green Launched Luna in the Indian market. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, has recently made a tweet. This shows that the company is preparing to bring Luna Electric. He tweeted that the old Kamal of Luna and his father Padma Shri Arun Firodia, who made it, will be presented with a spectacular change. He further said that Kinetic will bring Green e Luna.

Currently, Pune based Kinetic Engineering Limited is working on the upcoming e-Luna or Electric Luna. The electric version of Luna will be launched by Kinetic Green. It is the sister company of Kinetic Engineering.
E Luna’s work begins
According to reports, Kinetic Engineering has also started production of the chassis of the electric Luna. Apart from the chassis, Kinetic Engineering has also developed components like the main stand, side stand and swingarm. The company has set up a dedicated production line for Luna Electric with a capacity of 5,000 units per month.
Launched for Rs 2,000
Talking about Luna, it was launched 50 years ago for Rs 2,000. During that time Kinetic had a 95 percent share in the moped segment. The company is said to have sold close to 1 crore Lunas in India. Currently, there are many options of electric scooters in the market. Now it has to be seen how Luna Electric will compete with them.
