Bike Taxi Service In Delhi : Cab aggregator companies like Uber and Rapido have got a big relief from the Delhi High Court. The court has put a stay on the notice of the Delhi Transport Department. In this notice, a demand was made to ban the service of these companies. Along with this, the court has said that no strict action should be taken against these companies.
Let us tell you that the Delhi government had banned the two-wheeler rental service. This affected other cab aggregators including Ola-Uber. According to the government, the rules of transport were being violated by the cab service. According to the Transport Department, the bikes with private registration numbers were being used for the bike-taxi service of Ola-Uber. It is against the Commercial Operation and Motor Vehicle Act 1988.
A bench of Justice Suresh Kumar and Justice Nina Bansal Krishna directed the Transport Department not to take any action against these companies until a policy for cab aggregators is in place.
